With a blend of country, folk, bluegrass and gospel, DC Sills weaves stories
into songs about people she's known, people she's lost and some people
she's just made up. Who does she sound like? She puts it this way, "Mostly, I
just sound like me, DC, but there have been comparisons made to: Tracy
Chapman, Maura O'Connell and even Cheryl Wheeler...I can only hope they
are true!"
Herb Barbee of Roots Music Review had this to say, "If DC Sills were a
painter, no doubt she would use a very broad brush. As a talented musical
artist, she accomplishes the same artistic feat. Her music crosses many
genres from country to folk to bluegrass to gospel and the really cool thing is
that she is versatile enough to perform all these music types well."
